Becoming a barber was the best decision I have ever made. Following my passion with hard work and consistency created opportunities that took my life to the next level. When I was 13 I wrote down I wanted to own a barbershop on the beach and it’s been a dream come true to have accomplished just that. This industry has been taken to unimaginable realms and continues to grow over 7% every year.
Together, we built a school where every individual has the opportunity to reach their full potential, where every student has access to quality education, and where every person can dream of a better tomorrow.
The barbering industry is experiencing a barber shortage and has many job opportunities available nationwide. Barbershops are an integral part of our communities so it’s important we educate our community on the benefits of possessing a skill. Signature Barber Academy is dedicated to providing proper training and resources and to grow interest in an area that has historically had limited access. We have broken all barriers not just for the students but for the industry as a whole.
With barbering, you not only learn how to cut hair but you learn social skills, work ethic, financial literacy and so much more. All attributing to the developmental success of an individual. Giovany Abinader

Giovany is a licensed Master Barber and Lead Educator at Signature Barber Academy with over 12 years of professional barbering experience. Born and raised in New York City and of Dominican American heritage, he brings extensive industry knowledge and a culturally informed perspective to barber education. His professional background includes high-volume barbershop environments and consistent client service excellence. Giovany provides curriculum-aligned classroom and practical instruction in accordance with state barbering regulations and institutional standards. His areas of expertise include haircutting techniques, sanitation and infection control, safety procedures, client consultation, time management, and barbershop operations. Committed to educational integrity and student success, Giovany maintains a structured learning environment that emphasizes professionalism, accountability, and industry readiness. His approach ensures students receive both the technical proficiency and professional preparation required for successful entry into the barbering workforce.
